The Courtauld’s A Bar at the Folies-Bergère by Edouard Manet has come 3rd in the national ‘Greatest Painting in Britain Poll’ run by the BBC Radio 4 Today Programme and the National Gallery.
Deborah Swallow, Director of the Courtauld Institute of Art, said "I would like to thank everyone who voted for A Bar at the Folies-Bergère. We are delighted that the British public supported this outstanding painting and we hope that our visitors will continue to enjoy and explore Manet’s masterpiece."
