Ismaili Centre

Thu 30 Sep, 2021

The Ismaili Centre, designed by Sir Hugh Casson and inaugurated in 1985, is a religious, social and cultural meeting place for the Ismaili Muslim community. The centre is a wonderful contemporary building with a fabulous ‘chahar-bagh’ (quadrilateral) garden on its roof with beautiful roses and other flowers. It reflects motifs from Islamic architectural heritage and draws inspiration from the Qur’anic imagery of the Garden of Paradise. The Friends will enjoy a guided tour of this beautiful building. Followed by an optional lunch, not included in the price of the ticket.
