Painting Pairs: Art History and Technical Study

This is the second of two presentations by this year’s Research Associates. Four pairs of Research Associates, each composed of a graduate student from the department of Conservation and Technology and one studying art history, are investigating paintings from The Courtauld Gallery and other collections. They will each report on the findings of their technical and art historical examination in a 20-minute presentation, followed by a short discussion. There will be a chance to view the paintings discussed before the event.
