Join Anthony W. Robins (MA 1976) – author of the newly published New York Art Deco: A Guide to Gotham’s Jazz Age Architecture – for for a walking tour of Art Deco architecture on Central Park West and a closer look at the buildings that form Manhattan’s major residential skyline. We will see the great twin-towered skyscraper-apartment houses—the Century, the Majestic and the Eldorado — that rise 30 stories above Central Park, and half a dozen other multicolored Jazz Age fantasies of high living.
The walk begins at 6pm at the southwest corner of Broadway and West 62nd Street, and ends at Central Park West and West 94th Street. Please wear the proverbial comfortable shoes.
