Join us for our latest event with Young Professionals in the Arts. This is an opportunity to see inside Portcullis House, the only new building commissioned by Parliament since the Palace of Westminster in the 19th century. Portcullis House was designed by leading British architect Michael Hopkins and officially opened in February 2001.

The House of Commons contemporary portrait collection is displayed in Portcullis House. This art collection records senior Parliamentarians, including Margaret Thatcher, Tony Blair, David Cameron and Tony Benn, in paintings, works on paper and photographs. The collection reflects a diversity of styles and approaches by UK-based artists over the last 50 years and includes works by Grayson Perry, Gerald Scarfe and Andrew Tift.

The tour takes about 75 minutes and includes a visit to the first floor Committee Corridor of Portcullis House.
